SUNDAY, July 3rd patriotic music will play as fireworks light up the sky throughout Cargile Creek on Lake Mitchell as we celebrate America's Independence this year! This event is provided by Lake Mitchell HOBO owners and originator Jimmy McCormick.
The show begins at 9pm and spectators are encouraged to come early to secure a spot for their boat on Cargile Creek. "We have a lot of people who watch from the shore, and you can even see the lights from the roads around the lake", McCormick II says. All of the fireworks will reach heights of about 300 to 600 feet, and we have monster speakers set up so that everyone can hear the patriotic music we play during the show.
The Pyro crew will spend 10-11 hours in advance setting up the show for many friends and family to share this moment of celebration to remember our American Independence.
When coming from interstate I-65, take the Lake Mitchell exit, and then take County Road 28 until it dead-ends at Higgins Ferry Park. Boaters may access Lake Mitchell from Higgins Ferry boat ramp to boat over to Cargile Creek.
We are grateful to continue past three decades of bringing family and friends together as we scatter vibrant colors of independence among the acres of Cargile Creek and main channel of Lake Mitchell.
